4 peaks 4 weeks
Congratulations to the team of 4 peaks 4 weeks: Ms. Karen Holst (U.S.A), Ms. Helene (Sweden), Ms. Manu Gurung (Nepal) and Ms. Shantikala Rai (Nepal) for your successful summit to Mera Peak (6,476m), Island Peak (6,189m), Pokalde Peak (5,806m) and Kala Patthar Peak (5,580m).
Empowering Women of Nepal (EWN) is grateful to Women Win (WW) from The Netherlands, for your continued support to capacitate EWN trainees, Manu Gurung and Shantikala Rai, who seek to harness their technical climbing skills and boost their confidence to lead peak climbing for 3 Sisters Adventure clients. Unfortunately the EWN trainees and 3 Sisters’s guides can’t all be trekking 24-7 , but there are many nice alternatives to stay in shape! One of them is volleyball. Three times a week at 6:30 in the morning the EWN trainees, guides and children can come to volleyball practice in a park by Phewa Lake. Coach Bhim Parajuli, a former national volleyball player, gives helpful advice and one-on-one training, making sure everyone benefits from practice. No matter what the weather, rain or shine, you will always find our girls out on the field, playing and having fun. A big thank you goes out to Coach Bhim Parajuli for his efforts and his great coaching skills! Keep up the great work ladies!
We are happy to inform you that 3 Sisters Adventure Trekking Company is organizing a special monsoon camping trek in Upper Mustang from August 5 – 19.
There are only a few remaining places, so interested clients please contact us immediately.
We are here to make your trip enjoyable.
Thank you Meike Plant and André van der Stouwe for making this great video about EWN and 3Sisters, sponsored by the Netherland Fellowship Program (NFP)!
